Full-time president of the IfM Bonn is Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Friederike Welter. Dr. Rosemarie Kay is the deputy director and Dr. Christian Schröder is research coordinator.

IfM Bonn currently employs 24 academic researchers. In total, 38 employees (including student assistants) work at the IfM Bonn.

The research team includes economists, business economists, psychologists and sociologists, which reflects the institute's interdisciplinarity.
