Statute of the foundation "Institut für Mittelstandsforschung"

§ 1 Name
The foundation bears the name "Institut für Mittelstandsforschung". It has legal capacity and is based in Bonn.

§ 2 Purpose of the foundation
The exclusive and immediate purpose of the foundation is the establishment and maintenance of an institute for the scientific research of the situation of Mittelstand (SME) enterprises.

§ 3 Research activity

1. The institute's task is to analyse the status-quo, development and problems of Mittelstand (SME) enterprises. In co-operation with the ministries of its founders, the institute contributes indirectly to improving the general framework conditions for the Mittelstand economy. The institute is encouraged to adopt a practically oriented (applied) research approach. The research results shall be made available to the public.
2. The institute is independent in its research activities.
