What impact had the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of micro-entrepreneurs? What gender-specific differences can be identified at the beginning? Dr Markus Rieger-Fels, Dr Rosemarie Kay and other researchers are analysing these questions based on quantitative results and 36 interviews with self-employed people in Germany. They come to the conclusion that there is a gender-specific discrepancy in the effects of the crisis and in the economic recovery.
