To what extent do working conditions, networks, and institutional offerings impact university staff’s willingness to start a business? According to studies by Dr Teita Bijedić, Dr Christian Schröder, Prof. Dr Arndt Werner (University of Siegen), and Xiangyu Chen (University of Siegen), entrepreneurial peers and financial incentives have a positive effect on the willingness to start a business. In principle, this also applies to networks, although the utility decreases as the size of a network increases.
Their article "How do working conditions, network relationships, and institutional support offers effect entrepreneurial intentions of German university scientists?“ has been published in the magazine “Technovation”.
