Bio

Constanze Chwallek studied business administration at CAU Kiel, RWTH Aachen and Maastricht University. During her doctorate from 1993 to 1997 with Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Möller on the topic of "Valuation Relevance of Published Cash Flow Statements of Listed German Companies", she was involved as an assistant at the Chair of Corporate Accounting and Finance at RWTH Aachen University. From 1997 to 2003, she then worked as a management consultant for a medium-sized consulting firm, where she was mainly engaged in strategy development projects for various industries (including mechanical engineering, automotive, pharmaceuticals and aerospace).

From 2003 to 2010, she was a professor at Trier University of Applied Sciences, where she was responsible for the teaching area of business management and entrepreneurship and was a senate representative for business start-ups. She was also dean and vice dean at the Department of Business Administration. In 2010, she became Professor of Entrepreneurship at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Business Administration.

She is head of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Industrial Engineering and Management and the part-time MBA programme "Management and Entrepreneurship" at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences and is a member of the board of directors of the start-up centre at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. She still advises companies on strategic orientation and business model development, is active on advisory boards and supports start-ups as a mentor in setting up and scaling their businesses.
